Little Green Thumbs is an indoor gardening program that gives students the perspective of a producer as they grow a garden within their own classroom. By maintaining their own allotment of plant life, students learn about nutrition, environmental stewardship, sustainable food systems, and community interdependence. Teachers are also provided with teacher training and additional online resources to link their classroom garden to curriculum-based learning objectives. Last year, the program engaged students in nearly 1000 classrooms!
